  I had a very small contact with them but I personally experienced the disconnection and shunning that they practice. If you join you have to be prepared and realize that your new friends and new business contacts will shun you and "disconnect" from you in a nasty way if you say something that goes against their beliefs. If you join and another one of your family joins, you have to realize that the Scientology people will heavily pressure your family member to shun you if you critize or go against anything they say or if you try to discontinue your membership. This something that is kept secret and denied but I personally saw it.

  I started studying Scientology with this group 40 years ago. My life has been happy, I've been able to get through tough situations with minimal upset, and I have been able to help friends more effectively using what I've learned through Scientology. After living for 18 years where there was no Scientology groups, I am delighted to be now back in an area with Missions and Churches. I am volunteering with this group now...so you can come talk to me about it!

  I have known the people that work here for over 25 years. They are all decent honest hard working. They have helped 10s of thousands of people. Anyone who says bad things about them is simply NOT telling the truth. There is one person who is posting undocumented, unproven lies about this church and its people. They are a coward and liar in the worst way. I always tell people think for yourself. Get a book read it. Go into a church of Scientology and look for yourself. There is always in every church a very very small percentage of negative people who are usually not even in the church that say and do bad things. Do not deny yourself help.
