  HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Service. I cannot even say customer service, because Shauna, the owner, does not understand what that means. We were referred to her by the Marriott Vacation Villas in Newport Beach, which of course as owners at the Marriott, we have let them know of this situation so hopefully no one else has to go through this. We booked her about 4pm...later that evening, around 6pm, our son came down with a fever, so we called to cancel. We left a VM, and did not get a response back, so we emailed the next morning. Shauna not only didn't care that our child was sick and that we decided NOT to get her babysitter sick (by the way, it was an 21 year old girl with no real experience other than babysitting, unlike what their website says about experienced nanny's, sitters, etc.), she told us she had to pay the babysitter so we are stuck paying the fees to her, for a service we never received. After we requested our refund and were denied, we filed a dispute with AMEX. She then had the nerve to call me, leave a nasty VM, that she had to pay the babysitter out of her own money...Ummmmmm, isn't that the cost of doing business? If she cannot afford $45, why is she in business.
  
  I am not the only one to have an experience such as this with her. See the other reviews. Then she tried to say if we called and handled it better, she would have CONSIDERED the refund...Which is a lie because that is exactly what we did prior to filing the dispute. There are many choices for babysitters, and if you care about your children, I would consider using another service. Not only is Shauna not a caring individual, which is clearly obvious by her voicemail and conversation we have had, she is quite rude and hostile, and I can only imagine what her inexperienced nanny's are like. The Marriott has also been informed of this situation so hopefully they will stop referring her service out to their guests and owners...
  
  I have never been so offended by a business owner. She actually hung up the phone on us!!! WOW!!! I even gave time to cool off before writing this review and giving the business a chance to make it right. And to tell me that she would have refunded had we handled it differently, means that she is an emotional business owner and runs her business on emotions, instead of ethics.
